Androcles escaped from his master and fled to the forest where he met a Lion. He turned to flee, but then he saw the Lion did not charge at him. When he came closer, the Lion put out his paw. He saw a thorn had gone into it and he pulled it out. Soon the Lion got up and licked Androcles and brought him to his cave.
But soon after Androcles and the Lion were captured. Androcles was going to be thrown to the Lion. The Lion was kept without food for several days. Then the Emperor went to the spectacle. The Lion charged at Androcles at first, then stopped and licked Androcles. The Emperor was surprised and set Androcles and the Lion free.
