King
Phillip bought a fine black and brown horse called Bucepalis. All of his men
tried to tame Bucepalis. They tried and tried, but they decided to get rid of
him. Then the king’s young son, Alexander, suggested that he should try to tame
this horse. So he tried. He saw that the horse was afraid of its own shadow. Then
he hopped on and rode him. After that, Alexander and Bucephalis were the best
of friends.
