THE
DOG IN THE MANGER
Once
a Dog went into an Ox’s manger to nap while the Ox was doing its afternoon
work. The Ox came back to the manger and saw the doge sleeping there. He wanted
to eat the straw in the manger, but the Dog woke up in a rage attempting to
bite him. The Ox finally gave up and said:
“Ah,
people often grudge others what they cannot enjoy themselves”
