The Fox and the Sheep

Once there was a wolf. He found it difficult to catch and eat a sheep because the shepherd and his dogs were protecting the sheep. One time when he was strolling down to the sheep, he saw a sheep skin that had been thrown aside. He wore it and went to the sheep. A baby sheep saw the wolf wearing its mother’s skin, and it followed him around. Later the wolf feasted on the lamb.

The Fox and the Grapes

Once there was a Fox who was strolling through a forest when he saw a bunch of grapes on a high branch. “Just the thing to quench my thirst” he burst out. He stepped back a few paces then jumped but he missed the bunch of grapes . He tried again, again, and again, but he could not reach it he walked away with his nose in the air whining “I’m sure they are sour.”

King Darius liked Daniel, but the presidents and princes hated him. They wanted to kill Daniel, but they couldn’t find anything wrong with him.

 The presidents and princes had an idea and brought a decree to the king. It said everyone should worship the king for thirty days. If they didn’t, they would be thrown into the lion’s den. The king signed the decree.

 Daniel still prayed to his God so the presidents and princes brought him to the king. The king was sad, but he had to follow the law.

 Daniel was thrown into the lions den. King Darius hoped he would survive. The next morning the king rushed to the den. He found Daniel alive. Daniel exclaimed “I am alive because my God protected me.” ⊙U⊙

The Mouse and the Lion

Once a little mouse was running up and down near a sleeping lion. The mouse woke him up. The lion put his huge paw above the mouse and opened his giant mouth. Just then the mouse said “Oh, please, forgive me, Oh, King of the Beasts! Maybe I will be able you help you one of these days.” The lion laughed and let him go. It wasn’t long until the lion was caught in a trap by hunters. The hunters tied him to a tree and went to find a wagon to carry him. It was then that the little mouse happened to pass by. He went over to the lion and chewed away the ropes and said “Was I not right?”   Little friends may prove great friends

Once a fox saw a crow with a piece of cheese in its beak. The fox whispered to himself, “I should have that piece of cheese since I am the master fox.”  As the crow sat on a tree branch, the fox strolled up to the tree. He said, “Oh, mistress crow I’d like you to sing just one song that I may greet you as queen of birds!” The crow lifted up her beak and right when she was going to open her beak, the piece of cheese fell off the tree and was snapped up by master fox! The fox said, “That was all I wanted. In exchange for your cheese, I will give you a piece of advice for the future”

A VERY BORING STORY 1: Cornelia's dirt

In Rome in a vine covered house, two boys were standing in the garden watching their mother and her friend walking among the flowers and trees. The youngest boy said “Look at our mother’s friend. Look how beautiful she is.”

But the elder one interrupted “Look at our mother. She is even more beautiful than her.”

 Their mother came down to where they were standing. She told them that they were having dinner with her friend and after they ate, her friend would show them her casket of jewels.

Later after dinner, one of her servants opened the casket of jewels. The boys were amazed by the jewels. There were diamonds, amethysts, rubies, and sapphires. The casket was closed and slowly brought away. Her friend asked Cornelia their mother, “Is it true you don’t have any jewels?”

Cornelia said, “But, I do have jewels,” She drew her twosons to her side. “These are my jewels and they are worth more than all your gems!”

JULIUS CAESAR

Far far far far far far far far and so on away in uh… ROME again…

     Julius Caesar

In Rome was a very popular and wise man called Julius Caesar. He knew how to make people love him and be afraid of him. He was popular because he was a very powerful warrior. Once, he and his fine officers were walking through a very small village. All the people were sitting and standing by the roadside watching him walk. And their mayor was watching too. He was very, very happy as if he was Caesar himself.

Some of Caesar’s officers burst out “Look at him. He is just a ruler of a small village!” But Caesar exclaimed  “Laugh as you will. I’d rather be a ruler of a small village than the second person in Rome!”

Another time Caesar was on a boat in a very big storm. The captain had sailed in many storms but nothing like this. He whined “All is lost. All is lost!” But Caesar said “No we are safe because Caesar is on board.”
